These terms apply when you use the Pottery Senses website or purchase from us. By placing an order, you agree to these terms and the policies linked on our store.

About Pottery Senses

Pottery Senses creates handmade, small-batch ceramics in Bondi Beach, New South Wales, Australia. You can contact us at potterysenses.studio@gmail.com.

Handmade products

Every piece is made by hand. Minor differences in shape, size, glaze, pattern, texture, surface and colour are expected and form part of the piece’s individual character. Measurements are approximate. We aim to represent products accurately, but photography, lighting and screen settings can cause colours to appear slightly different. Batch-made and preorder pieces may vary slightly from the photographed example while remaining consistent with the product description.

Orders and availability

Products are subject to availability. Adding an item to a cart does not reserve it. We may decline or cancel an order if an item is unavailable, information is incorrect, or we reasonably suspect fraud or an error. If we cancel an order after payment, we will refund the amount paid.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Australian dollars. Applicable shipping charges are displayed at checkout. Payment must be authorised before an order is confirmed.

Preorders and lead times

Preorder and made-to-order lead times are estimates. Where stated, the expected lead time is approximately 4–6 weeks. Handmade production and kiln firing may occasionally cause delays. We will contact you if there is a material delay.

Cancellations

If you need to request an order change or cancellation, contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee changes after dispatch or after production has begun for a preorder or made-to-order piece. This does not limit any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Shipping and returns

We currently ship within Australia only. Shipping, delivery, returns and remedies are governed by our Shipping and Returns & Refunds pages. We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind.

Care and use

Ceramics are fragile and should be handled with care. Follow any care and use information provided in the product listing or with the piece. Do not use a piece in an oven, on a stovetop or for another specialised purpose unless the product description expressly says it is suitable.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Website information

We try to keep product descriptions, prices and availability accurate. We may correct errors and update website information when necessary. To the extent permitted by law, Pottery Senses is not responsible for loss caused by misuse of a product or use contrary to supplied care instructions.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Nothing in this clause limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
